Tequila Basil Lemonade
I wanted to provide a light and refreshing summer drink as an alternative to the more traditional Margarita or Paloma, and Tequila is becoming a more popular spirit for the discerning consumer. Lemon and Basil are a timeless combination in Mediterranian cooking, and I sought to bring the freshness of summer to the backyard staple of spirited lemonade.
BadCat's Tequila Basil Lemonade features fresh lemon that compliments the herbaceous basil, which tempers the warmth of the tequila. The flavor of basil at the height of freshness is captured in a compound simple syrup, joined by fresh squeezed lemon juice and 100% agave tequila.
